The Clitoris: More Than You Think

What many people don’t know is that the clitoris is much bigger than the little piece you see on the outside . What you see is just the tip of the iceberg – literally. The clitoris is actually a complete network of nerves and erectile tissue that extends internally along the labia.

Just like men, women also have a corpus cavernosum . During sexual arousal, these fill with blood, causing the clitoris to swell – comparable to an erection. So yes, women can also get a kind of “stiff”. No need to panic if you see that your vulva is a bit swollen after arousal: that is completely normal. The clitoris is just making some space for itself.
